[Steps] Follow This Chic Way to Wrap Children’s Clothing

It’s hard enough to wrap oddly-shaped gifts. It’s even harder when it has no specific form, like a piece of fabric or clothing. Indeed, this time we have been given the task to wrap children’s clothing (a dress) for a birthday party. Usually, we would waste no time in making a gift bag, perhaps the quickest and easiest way to wrap this dress.

But we thought of doing something different this time. Plus we also needed to use what we thought was a pretty challenging children-themed gift wrapping paper with partying teddy bears printed all over it in a variety of colours. But nothing is impossible. We decided to create a cylindrical hexagonal box and place the rolled up dress in it. The cylindrical box provided a regular shape that made gift wrapping so much easier. Finally, we made a tissue flower pom-pom as a gift topper. Here are the steps.

Step 1:
Prepare the piece of dress or any piece of children’s clothing. This technique would work with any fabric-based items such as t-shirts, blouses, towels, aprons, etc.

Step 2:
Measure and cut out a piece of cardstock to the size that you need. Draw score lines to create 6 sides of equal dimensions.

Step 7:
Make a square flower pom-pom from tissue paper and secure it with double-sided tape onto the top of the gift. The bright yellow colour is very prominent against the brown background of the gift wrapping paper and truly brightens it up.
