Liao Sia Zhi comes from the Mugan Pingdong Tribe based in the Taitung county of Taiwan. It is a region renowned for its breathtaking natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and vibrant indigenous tribes. For Liao Sia Zhi, creating pottery has been a time-honoured family tradition. Techniques and forming clay compositions are knowledge that has been passed down for generations. Each family has its own proudly-guarded secret recipe to create pottery that bears unique features that become signatures of the individual tribe.
